I have been facing this problem on my Dell inspiron for like the last 2 months, i thought it had something to do with my battery, since it showed "checking battery state" after it logs out. This problem has become very annoying logging out every now and then, 4-5 times in the last hour. Its almost impossible to use my ubuntu now :(. i hope this bug is fixed soon and comes with the next update.
