It looks like QtParted has been abandoned. SourceForge shows there
hasn't been a release since 2005-08-12. If Ubuntu continues to support
this program, it should try to find somebody to take over the project.
It isn't acceptable to knowingly include software that has had major
bugs for years.

I just installed QtParted in Kubuntu from Add/Remove Programs. Selecting
my 320GB (about 298GiB) hard drive caused the window to stretch so wide
that with Beryl I saw it was spanning across three desktops! The window
couldn't be resized any smaller. If this problem is related to the size
of the hard drive, it's going to continue to get worse.
