Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gpointing-device-settings
My IBM Thinkpad T60 has a trackpoint and a touchpad. I only use the trackpoint (don't like touchpads much), so I use gpointing-device- settings to 'Disable touchpad'. This works fine until I restart the computer. I then find this setting is ignored, and the touchpad is working again - even though the 'Disable touchpad' box is still ticked. I have to untick it and tick it again for the touchpad to be disabled.
