I have mp3 and video support but when the programs play these files after 5 seconds they stop working and they crash. In my first post I meant I have done this step: added Applications → Add/Remove. In the top right, change the setting to All available applications. I don't know why these programs stop working.
Edgy 6.10 was perfect to play .mp3 .avi .dvx .wav .mpeg. In ubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04 I can't play a full song or a full video 'cause the programs crash. I hope there is a fix.
