Hello. I have a HP G62 laptop with integrated graphic card. I had
problems installing Ubuntu from live-cd too. (Ubuntu freezed to logo.)
Managed to install Ubuntu from non graphic alternate install. When I
tried to boot the fresh Ubuntu installation it freezed to Ubuntu logo
again. I luckily pressed the wlan button from keyboard ON=white (not
OFF=red). Then Ubuntu booted nice.

Before the locked driver for wlan download (and install) I pressed wlan
button off and Ubuntu freezed. Then I booted again and downloaded the
driver for wlan and after that Ubuntu wont freeze if wlan is set off
from keyboard (off=red), not in boot or while running.

Later I tried with Lubuntu install from USB-stick too, same problem
happened with that too. (If wlan is OFF, Ubuntu/Lubuntu does not boot or
run)
