Hi! Yesterday, I tried to install Xubuntu feisty fawn on a thinkpad T21. I had the same problem reported here : X hanged. I had to remove DRI to solve the problem, like explained here.
BUT! I messed with my system, and I reinstalled it today. AND the problem is not here anymore...
