I successfully reproduced the error with virtualization (using
VirtualBox). Strangely it wasn't completely easy to reproduce it. Maybe
it's not some unexpected step, but more like a concurrency problem of
some type (but note that my knowledge about the internals of this
packages is almost none).

Before running the install, i chose to use Gnome Partition Editor to
create 2 partitions (it was an empty virtual HDD). Then i started the
Install and while editing some times the two partitions, the Edit
Partition dialog and the Installation window stopped responding (not a
freeze, but couldn't close, abort, anything)

A disk error (not physical, obviously) was reported after some editing
of the partitions, before the "bug", but it didn't happen when i
reported the bug, so i think it's not related.
