Ok, I installed Banshee 2.1.0. When going on the page http://somafm.com/play/groovesalad, Firefox asks if you want to open it or download it. * if I download it and try to open it ("open with banshee", or drag & drop as a new playlist), it won't work; * if I tell it to open the file with banshee, it will indeed play the music (without displaying it as a playlist); * if I got to File > "open location" and open the playlist's url (http://somafm.com/groovesalad.pls), it works.
So I think Banshee 2.1.0 solves the problem for the streamed playlist (not for a local file).
