Okay, so I removed ttf-bengali-fonts from a clean install of ubuntu, I was't
even able to mount my harddrive when I finally rebooted after that. And I did
an upgrade from a clean install with all the updates for Edgy, and it still
crashed and on the ttf-bengali-fonts again. Which I removed via aptitude, so
they shouldn't be there.
As a side not check this out from my apt.log (similar to the previous apt.log
so I won't add the new one):

Package debtags has broken dep on apt-index-watcher
  Considering apt-index-watcher 0 as a solution to debtags 4
Added apt-index-watcher to the remove list
Fixing debtags via remove of apt-index-watcher

Could that have anything to do with it?

So is there a better way to remove ttf-bengali-fonts and ttf-indic-
fonts, since I don't need them (or at least I don't think I do)?
