Public bug reported: When rotating the screen with `xrandr --output $OUTPUT --rotate left` or --output $OUTPUT --rotate right`, in the resulting rotated screen the upper half does not get repainted properly (see attached screenshot - the terminal window should be visible up to the top). Note that '-- rotate normal' and '--rotate inverted' work as expected.
It seems that this problem has occured with the most recent update (to 1:7.6+4ubuntu3), but I can't say for sure. Updating to 1:7.6+4ubuntu3.1 in natty-testing doesn't help, in any case. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 11.04 Release: 11.04 $ apt-cache policy xserver-xorg xserver-xorg: Installiert: 1:7.6+4ubuntu3.1 Kandidat: 1:7.6+4ubuntu3.1 Versionstabelle: *** 1:7.6+4ubuntu3.1 0 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:7.6+4ubuntu3 0 500 http://gd.tuwien.ac.at/opsys/linux/ubuntu/archive/ natty/main amd64 Packages ** Affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: natty xrandr -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/788786 Title: Display artifacts on rotated screen -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
