Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: wine1.2

Some, possibly most, apps under Wine cause a crash and end the X session
on startup. Even wine native apps, so: "WINEPREFIX=`pwd` winecfg" will
fail. I'm not sure what extra info I can add, since there doesn't seem
to be anything important in xsession-errors, dmesg, syslog.

However, some apps do run fine. I have some games previously installed,
and they work.

There's something similar reported here:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=932299, but no solution,
other than "don't use Nouveau".
