Are you still experiencing this problem?
If so, could I ask you to provide the following information?
1- Post the output of executing this command in a terminal:
dpkg --list checkbox*
2- Install the "debsums" package and verify the checkbox package:
sudo apt-get install debsums
debsums checkbox >checkbox-sums.txt
If you open the checkbox-sums.txt file you should see a list of files
that should be in checkbox, and they all should contain "OK" at the end.
If some don't, it's likely they got damaged somehow. If that's the case,
please post the list of files that did NOT contain OK.
3- If you notice that checkbox or checkbox-gtk aren't installed, or that some
checkbox files are not OK, you can try reinstalling checkbox to refresh the
files:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall checkbox checkbox-gtk
If possible, please report back with your findings so that we can
further assess this problem and determine whether it's a bug that needs
fixing.
