I have a Nvidia 6800 using a twinview configuration with 3 metamodes (3200x1200, 1600x1200 and 1280x1024). The display configuration of the KDE control center crashes when I open it while this twinview configuration is activated (using kubuntu 6.01.1; upgrading KDE to 3.5.4 didn't change the behaviour). I applied the proposed fix and now the display configuration is starting and shows all three metamodes. Switching between the metamodes requires a restart of KDE, though.
