For those who have replied to the bug with what they think is the same issue, you all have different hardware, so please file separate bugs for each of your own problems, using "ubuntu-bug audio".
To the original bug reporter, ahve you checked to make sure you have the correct output device selected in sound preferences? Click on the speaker icon in the top right of your screen, and choose sound preferences. Go to the output tab, and make sure internal audio is selected. (It appears your graphics card also had audio output, which could be selected for some reason). If that doesn't help, please get a log from the sound server, as explained here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PulseAudio/Log. Attach the log to this bug when done. Thanks. ** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/779049 Title: [P55A-UD3, Realtek ALC892, Green Speaker, Rear] No sound at all -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
