Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: banshee

When trying to start banshee, the application crashes nearly immediately: the 
application window opens, but after less then a second it disappears again.  
Output to stdout and stderr seems to indicate that it (or some library) suffers 
a segmentation fault.  I'll append the output to this bug report.
I looked through the already filed "crashes on startup" reports, but as far as 
I can see mine is different from the others.
