Hi Brennan, Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
I looked at your syslog and it shows some locking errors but since they occur several times during the process, they might be unrelated to your problem. I would appreciate if you could reattempt your installation, but producing an installation log with debugging information. This might help determine what the problem is. To do this, start with your LiveCD, and choose "Try ubuntu without installing". Once it has booted, open a terminal (one way to do it is to press ctrl-alt-t) and type: ubiquity --debug This will start the installer in debugging mode. Proceed with the installation, and if it crashes, please attach /var/log/installer/debug, /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman. Thanks! ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/784416 Title: Ubuntu 11.04 installer crash -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
