4M and another guy at least it doesn't work. I put 'net.ipv4.conf.default.forwarding=1' in sysctl. then I reboot the machine and after I log in to my useraccount and NIC1 connects to INTERNET and NIC2 assigns DHCPs to client computers IP_FORWARD is still not enabled and internet doesn't work on client computers.
But if I put "net.ipv4.conf.all.forwarding=1" in sysctl and then reboot the machine, IP_FORWARD is enabled and also the internet works on the client pcs. ** Description changed: - When uncommenting this line in sysctl: + When uncommenting this line in Feisty Fawn's sysctl: 'net.ipv4.conf.default.forwarding=1' when I reboot I still get: ###### cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward 0 ###### but inserting this line into sysctl then it works: "net.ipv4.conf.all.forwarding=1" This has already been discused in ubuntuforums and one member already found the same problem:\ http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=2507394#post2507394 -- "net.ipv4.conf.default.forwarding=1" doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108896 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
