On my Lenovo desktop (ThinkCentre 8810-AA5) with an Intel graphics the leak problem only occurs when using Unity. If I select the Ubuntu Classic (compiz without the Unity) the compiz process does not seems to leak any memory. So the problem seems to be more related to the Unity, not to compiz.
