I experienced the same problem on natty in the "Ubuntu Classic" mode. I installed the CompizConfig Settings Manager and enabled the Cube rotation and Window Magnifying effects. Without compiz in Ubuntu Classic without visual effects mode, the window frames are still there. The normal Ubuntu mode with Unity works without problems, but I can't even move windows with the keyboard in classic mode with visual effects.
