Hi Michael,

Many thanks for coming back to help. I feel I'm now beginning to work
my way round me-tv. I restarted doing all the things suggested
previously, recognising that I needed to change channels at least to
affect the audio driver change. Also, thanks for letting me know how to
properly stop me-tv, that's very helpful. When working through all the
solutions again, I find that I do now have a change in Streams for the
last time I reported to you. I now have a second selection, not only 0:
eng (MPEG4) but also 1: ita (MPEG4).
My audio driver selection is as follows:-
null
pulseaudio
alsa
oss
esd
file
none

Only puleaudio and alsa actually show me-tv working in "Sound
Preferences" - Applications.

I was still unable to get sound working, however. I then tried doing
the change to xine config file, making a whole new line as you describe
and ensuring it was not commented out. I then tried all the same driver
selections etc. as before, but still no luck. I re-entered the file and
commented out the new line (it's still there) and uncommented the
original "Sound Card" one, and tried selecting drivers again. Still no
luck. I've returned the file back the way it was, pending your
instruction.

Many thanks for taking the time to help with this issue. I'm sorry it's
taking so long.

Best regards

Owen
