Public bug reported: Upgrade to Natty on a Dell Latitude D620 with Intel graphics, Current flash-nonfree running under firefox 4.
When a flash video is buffering, the entire system stutters - the mouse lags and jumps all over, switching between windows takes tens of seconds and large blocks of keyboard input are simply lost if entered. Behavior returns to normal once the flash content has finished downloading. The same behavior occurs when nnn-video flash content is downloading as well - and it stops as soon as the content has finished downloading. It is not site specific. No change with a switch from the new unity interface to the classic. flashplugin-installer and flashplugin-nonfree 10.2.159.1ubuntu1 Firefox 4.0.1+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.11.04.1 Not sure if it's caused by flash, firefox, both or something else entirely, but it happens every time I try to load flash content ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: firefox flash lag stutter system-wide -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/783320 Title: Entire system slows when downloading flash content -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
