Ah! After restarting my machine, I was able to find a launcher/menu item for VirtualBox OSE when I search. It also shows up under Accessories in the menu.
I think the desired behavior would be for a menu item/launcher to show up immediately upon installation of the package, but at least it gets there after restarting.
