I just built a custom deb package from the Maverick source code (version 1:2.1.0~svn1112278beta4-2ubuntu1). As this version works like a charme, the reported bug must have been introduced in patch level 2ubuntu2. /* I'll stay with this version until this bug is marked as solved. */
