Hi Galen, I first thought suspend to RAM works fine but later it failed sometimes. I described it in this bug-report:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-session/+bug/760128 I use normally the old gnome-desktop because the new desktop made some crashes. I have the feeling that suspend to ram works better with using Fn + F3. Anyway the netbooks goes to sleep every time but resume runs fine 80 - 90% and fails 10 -20%. Hibernate makes the system reboot from the beginning and it takes as long as a normal boot. I have exactly the same netbook and system then you, but my netbook behaves other then yours.
