Same problem here with 11.04 x32 on an intel platform. Upgraded from
10.04 to 11.04 and the install froze on installing udisks. Unable to
reboot, I downloaded the 11.04 image and tried to repair the
installation from CD. This froze near the end of the install at the
clean up stage. I could still not reboot so I did a clean install,
wiping everything. The system locked up at the log on screen after the
reboot. I power cycled and was able to log on. I'm able to work normally
for about 5 minutes before it locks up. First the keyboard, then the
mouse. I've managed to get it to update without fixing the problem. I
tried remote desktopping in when it froze without success VNC just times
out on the client. Affected machine is an old P4 with 2Gb RAM. Nvidia
graphics card does not support unity so Gnome is operating in a similar
way to Ver 10. Ubuntu is the only OS on this machine. Has been running
Ver9 and 10 OK.
