I'm running an Acer Aspire Revo 3700 with an RT3090 installed. It appeared reliable using the RT2860STA module, however, I've had a need to scp files (100-150MByte) between two systems & doing this has caused the network interface to repeatedly crash with the following kernel msgs:
rt28xx_close call RT28xxPciAsicRadioOff fail! NICLoadFirmware: MCU is not ready ERROR! NICLoadFirmware failed, Status[=0x00000001] rt28xx Initialization fail! I have installed the RT3090 packages detailed above by Arkady Smirnov & I am no longer experiencing stalls in transfers or crashes of the interface. An additional benefit is improved throughput. It'd be great to see this going into the core system builds. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/689960 Title: RaLink RT3090 wireless reconnects -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
