Same problem Here. I own an Acer Aspire 1362LM. No closed source driver. No wireless.
The laptop goes in suspension: the zz led is led and all is off. When i touch a key the system wake up, but the screen is black and nothing is working ( i try to ssh remotely but the laptop is dead) I made also a custom DSDT to correct the problem i found and I've added "acpi_os_name="Windows 2001"" to make the linux kernel compatible with the acpi susbsystem...
