Another Important fact (I just came across): When I change my laptops so that:
HOST: Acer Aspire 4810, natty, has Ethernet access (Intel Wifi chip) CLIENT : Sony VAIO F13, natty (Atheros Wifi Chip) The ad-Hoc Network works flawlessly!!!!!!!! (reproduceable, without clicking "Connect to hidden..").
