Same problem. Wireless appears soft-blocked, 'rfkill unblock all' actually unblocks the wireless but event is generated which turns the soft-block back on. Blacklisting acer-wmi solved the problem. On a Lenovo ideapad U550 with Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 5100 AGN [Shiloh].
