At this point, I have done all I can personally do. I can recommend you try the following, but beyond this, all we can do is see if somebody with more knowledge on the subject steps in, or just keep this bug in the list for future reference.
So, you can try ... 1. Downloading/burning a live CD and see if you have the same problems with that OS. If you do not, you may consider reinstalling everything from scratch. 2.
