I can confirm this. It's particularly annoying when using many indicators, or when using `xrandr --rotate` to switch the display to portrait mode (in which case, on netbooks you can make out only the first letters of the window title, or maybe one menu item or so). This makes the menu essentially unusable with the mouse (which can be the only mean of input, e.g., on tablets and convertibles). The menus are still accessible, though, by using the keyboard.
I'd suggest implementing either a scrolling menu bar (with the new scroll bars, this should not take up too much space), or preferably a "there's more" button (e.g., with an arrow), similar to the approach of LibreOffice toolbars, which opens a popup menu with the remaining, originally invisible menus. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/770270 Title: Some menus are not shown in Global menu, they are under indicators. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
