Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

If i start playing a sound file or video (in player, on the net, youtube,
whatever) only the rear speakers are driven, there is no sub or centre speaker.
While the file is playing I have to change the settings from f.e. "Analog
Sorround 5.1 Output" to "Analog Stereo Duplex" and back to hear the middle and
bass speakers.
