> Perhaps we can contribute to fixing by stating what hardware/config we have. I have nothing special: A Vostro 1500 with a new harddrive (no RAID or something).
Anticipating the problems with the graphical installer, I installed Ubuntu 11.04 final with the alternate installer (on ext4 this time). Setting up grub now worked without a hiccup. (The installation aborted with errors installing the base system the first time I tried, though. The second try (with seemingly no relevant differences in the configuration) worked flawlessly.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/703009 Title: grub-probe: error: cannot stat `aufs'. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
