I am a complete newbie so I cannot provide much data, i can tell my pc is a packard bell gateway zA8. chipset rs690m and vga X1200. I tried to install, Ubuntu 10.10 and 11.04 (New Natty).... no way of geting it working with the workaround here described. screen goes well untill ghraphics gets initialized and everything gets screwed up. ctrl + alt + F1 still works and I can access console right. (except some ocasions it completelly hangs). help please ....
