Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs
Last updated Friday April 29,2011. Ubuntu Studio v10.04 64 bit. I'm using IDJC (Internet DJ Console) v0.8.4. Downloaded from sourceforge.net to use the Shoutcast protocol. Broadcasting a stream into Second Life and Inworldz virtual worlds. Often I check System Monitor. Noticed process called "doodle" occasionally uses nearly 100% CPU. I don't know if it came bundled with IDJC/JACK -or- built into the OS. When adding songs to Playlist1/2 I noticed Phython also uses most of the CPU, until its tasks are completed. I googled 'doodle' and found out its like a file search program of sorts. Problem is doodle may possibly be causing freezeups while i'm broadcasting live over the internet. This is quite embarrassing and frustrating. QUESTION: is this normal for doodle to (sometimes) run for hours at nearly 100% CPU and/or is this necessary? ** Affects: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/773309 Title: Process "doodle" runs nearly 100% CPU with IDJC causing freezeups -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
