I've reported the same in 772896. IMHO a source of the problem is installing one different instalation over another one. At first I've installed xubuntu 10.04 and over it i've installed ubuntu-minimal, ubuntu-netbook and ubuntu with ubuntu studio, all of them via synaptics. Currently I've tried to upgrade from *buntu* 10.10 to the newest 11.04 via do-release-upgrade. And finally I've found a workaround:
sudo dpkg --remove ubuntu-minimal or whatever you have installed and the update manager reports (in my case ubuntu-minimal and xubuntu-desktop) sudo do-release-upgrade -d -m desktop -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/772531 Title: 'ubuntu-minimal' cannot be found anymore while upgrading to Natty Narwhal -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
