Binary package hint: virtualbox-guest-additions
When installing the guest additions of VirtualBox on Kubuntu 11.04 (64
bit) the X server does not start any more with the following error:
Fatal server error:
no screens found
Xorg.0.log shows the following errors:
(EE) module ABI major version (9) doesn't match the server's version (10)
(EE) Failed to load module "vboxvideo" (module requirement mismatch, 0)
(EE) No drivers available.
Host is Windows XP Pro (32 bit) with VirtualBox 4.0.4.
The error happens with the ISO image provided by the Windows
installation of VirtualBox as well as with the ISO images from the
virtualbox-guest-additions package.
Without the guest additions, the X server starts without problems.
