Amazing that this bug was allowed to get into the RELEASE. I just UPGRADED from 10.10 to 11.04 (server) and having the same problems.
On a reboot the server stalls at grub menu asking for a menu choice. THIS IS BAD ON SERVER ( because the server is remote and I can not press ENTER... ) In other words the set timeout should not be -1 (set timeout=-1 ) but it is... my work around was to edit out the -1 (on a record fail) and set it to 5 ( or whatever, just not -1 ) It appears grub was not properly updated (config file size) on an UPGRADE. Im sure a clean install is fine, but this is totally lame. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/754563 Title: After upgrading from 10.10 to 11.04 system doesn't start -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
