** Yes, libreoffice solves the issue, using font TT family name (see
capture-1 file),
rather  PS name or OT preferred family name (something like capture-2 file) as
describes in the WPF font selection model PDF. But all styles selected work
now. As I said, maybe interesting like this to switch a family to another...

That not solves the problem of kerning (see capture-3 file), even if
actived from the
character panel. The font used is Minion-Pro.
The kerning pairs are inserted in the kerning feature included in the
GPOS table only.
If the kerning works in the capture-2 file it's because a standard
kerning table is made
in addition of the kerning feature... This is the solution found to
solves the issue with
the same trouble for ADF's fonts and Ooo or LO.

Not possible to convince your boss to use his Adobe fonts suite on
writer rather than word
with a trouble like this, I think.
