Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

At the first screen I clicked 'update this installer' and nothing
happened. Clicked it again a couple of times, still nothing. When I
clicked 'Quit' this message popped up telling me that the installer
crashed . It told me to file a new bug report and include this detail:

  File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/gtk_ui.py", line 1311, in
on_next_clicked
     self.dbfilter.ok_handler()
  File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/plugins/ubi-language.py", line 732, in ok_handler
     self.preseed(self.language_question, new_language)
File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/filteredcommand.py", line 338, in preseed
     self.db.set(name, value)
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'set'

Attached is the /var/log/syslog. There is no /var/log/partman as it did
not exist. This is the result of 'lsb_release -rd':

      Description: Linux Mint 10 Julia
      Release: 10

And the result of 'apt-cache policy ubiquity':
  ubiquity:
    Installed: 2.4.8-1mint3
    Candidate: 2.4.8-1mint3
    Version table:
   *** 2.4.8-1mint3 0

          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
       2.4.8 0
          500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/main amd64 Packages

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
