Thanks, I've now switched back to nv because it has a better performance than nvidia-glx-new (I have absolutely now idea why). If there's anything else related to this bug you'd want me to do, I'd be happy to help (aka I can remove all the restricted stuff and rerun restricted-manager, test a patched version, etc.)
