You've got some weird wireless error messages in your dmesg.

Anyway, this sounds more like a power manager issue than X.  X failures
generally don't result in zombie processes, that sounds more like
plumbing layer misbehavior.

Also I notice you have VirtualBox installed, which could cause problems:

Anyway, not looking likely to be an X issue.  Reopen if you can narrow
to a test case that demonstrates something X specifically is failing on,
or error messages in an X log or something.
