Bilal,

My original install was an upgrade which I replaced with a clean install.
The situation I reported still brings up a browser but now it is
my preferred browser Chrome. xdg-open with an ftp now opens in Chrome. My
expectation is that since the Favorite folders came from Nautilus bookmarks
that the folders which are FTPs would open in Nautilus for full FTP read
write operation and not the FTP read only function provided by browsers.

Have a nice day -- *George*
