It is true that nautilus doesn't show and seems to be an exception to
both, last used and most frequently used. Nautilus just doesn't appear
in that list.

But the general behaviour is very irregular: in my list I have
Rubyripper and the Mouse conf. editor which I've used maybe twice in a
month ( but last time a couple of days ago). The software centre is not
there for example ( I use the software centre most of the days). Gimp is
there because I open it twice today (but not at all in the las 2-3
weeks).


Strictly speaking it can't be said that it shows the last open apps but the 
behaviour is close to this. It definitely is not a true representation of most 
frequently used apps. and what shows and what doesn't seems erratic at best.


Please, see if you can reproduce what I'm saying.
