Pedro, Would you kindly provide more information on how to "enable apport". I'm afraid I don't know how to do this.
And for clarification, is version 10.10 "the Ubuntu Stable Release"? Is that the same thing as an 'LTS' release? I will endeavor to get you the detailed crash report that you require to track down this unfortunate bug.
