I have Mythbuntu 10.10 on one PC, & Ubuntu 10.10 on another. I haven't noticed this bug on my Ubuntu PC (I don't think that I get any close-down messages displayed).
On Mythbuntu PC, I upgraded to 10.10 (from 9.10, via 10.04)in in March 2011. I have starting seeing this bug recently. I don't regularly watch the closing-down messages, because I close-down just before I go to bed each night. I have the OS + /home all on the same partition of an 80GB HDD. I have 2 other HDD (320GB & 1TB); these are mounted on /mnt, & used for all of my recorded TV, plus other videos. I don't remember the age of the 320GB HDD - this could be 3 years old. The 1TB HDD is 1 year old. They are about 50% full. All HDDs are ext4. The PC itself is from a new build 3 years ago. I had been thinking that I needed to replace the 1TB HDD, due to what seems to be disk errors, but this bug report seems to suggest that the problem may be in Ubuntu. I am getting various odd behaviours, but these are subject to a different bug report: . pauses during playback . exit to desktop from within playback (i.e. Myth frontend shuts itself down while paused or at the end of a recording, before I have a chance to delete the file). . some others Regards, Garry. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/616287 Title: umountfs doesn't cleanly unmount / on reboot -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
