Binary package hint: unity
I am using Ubuntu 11.04 Beta 2 with daily upgrades. The latest upgrade -
April 19th broke Compiz and is affecting unity
1. Enabling compiz features such as Wobbly windows, opacify, etc. and
disabling it, breaks unity in random. Such as, missing icons from the
launcher at time, sometimes crashing unity by itself . Alt+F2 doesn't
work since it depends on unity, and the average user may not get back
his desktop even after restart. I had to restart in 'Classic' mode and
reset unity, to get back the interface.
2. Wobbly windows feature by itself is broken. Unity snap used to work
well with wobbly windows. It is broken in this latest upgrade. The
windows fail to snap to the sides properly. ( maximize works fine ).
when snapping to the right hand side, the window resizes correctly, but
drifts a little bit to the left of the screen, leaving about 10 -15
pixels of vertical gap on the right hand side
