Ok, I saw another thing in your alsa-info, it seems like the speaker pin is not powered up:
Node 0x1f [Pin Complex] wcaps 0x400501: Stereo Pincap 0x00000010: OUT Pin Default 0x90170110: [Fixed] Speaker at Int N/A Conn = Analog, Color = Unknown DefAssociation = 0x1, Sequence = 0x0 Misc = NO_PRESENCE Pin-ctls: 0x40: OUT Power states: D0 D1 D2 D3 D3cold Power: setting=D3, actual=D3 Connection: 2 0x10* 0x11 Could you please try the following: download and install snd-hda-tools from ppa:diwic/ppa (this is for natty). Then run this terminal command: sudo hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x1f SET_POWER_STATE 0 And see if that helps to get sound out of internal speakers (you mean *internal* speakers, right?). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/761171 Title: Natty Narwhal No Sound -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
