Ivan, I'm glad this fixes the hung process issue for you. However, it shows there is also a bug somewhere else in the stack. Please kill the running syndaemon process and run it manually:
$ killall syndaemon $ syndaemon -v -i 0.5 -k -R When you hit the bug, it should print out a message about a bad event. Please paste the output here.
