You have -nvidia installed but are booting into X using the -vesa driver. These drivers use conflicting video libraries, which can cause crashes such as the one you saw. But your real issue is why your system is not booting -nvidia. Your Xorg.0.log gives a hint:
[ 49.222] (EE) NVIDIA: Failed to load the NVIDIA kernel module. Please check your [ 49.222] (EE) NVIDIA: system's kernel log for additional error messages. However, this bug report did not include the kernel logs, so it remains a mystery. Reproduce the issue and then look at your dmesg for further clues. ** Changed in: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/745187 Title: rhythmbox crashed with SIGABRT in raise() -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
